Under New Management

Hello all! Laura here.

In the past, the running of this comic (drawing, posting, etc.) was mostly done by the amazing mandachan. However, our beloved mandachan is retiring from the comic (citing a very busy schedule) and has appointed me her successor.

I will hopefully begin reviving the "Turtle Tuesday" as soon as possible (aka, as soon as I draw something and figure out how to work the scanner).

I'll try my hardest to live up to mandachan's work and share the awkwardness and fun with all of you once again.

Wish me luck!

dusting off the cobwebs

greetings (former) readers of drowning in turtles! i apologize fully for not having posted since softball season, life just got too hectic.

with the summer, however, i'll have a lot more time... ok well not a lot more time, but more time to post.

i'll also be making a few changes to the format and whatnot of the blog, starting with the template since blogger came out with a whole bunch of new templates. i'm also planning on tweaking the art a bit, and maybe doing something a little different in terms of characters and plot. a fresh new start, ya know?

anyway, hang in there, drowning in turtles will resume within the next few weeks. thanks for your patience!

excuses, take two.

unfortunately, because of the swamped schedule that we've been so graciously provided, i probably won't have time to update the comic til summer. i know, this really sucks, but between school, softball and other stuff, it just won't work. i'll let you know if i don't make the team (in which case i might have time to update), but otherwise i'll see you back after school ends.

#15 - awww, whaddaya talkin' about?

I fully admit to having done all of the aforementioned offenses, in addition to being a crappy comic artist and not having posted a comic since before christmas. I was busy, dangit.

houston, we has a monitor!

it'll still be a little bit before i get the next comic up. but i figured i'd let you know that we do have a working monitor that's attached to the scanner.

also, while the monitor was crapped out, i was approached with the idea of doing video editions of DiT comics. yes? no? hit me back with your thoughts.

comic coming soon!

crap.

sorry everyone for the lack of a comic this week but my desktop (which is attached to the scanner) decided to crap out so i can't scan the next one in until the desktop gets fixed. unfortunately, my stepdad, who is practically a computer guru, says that the monitor might just be on its way out so we might have to get a new one and goodness knows when that'll happen. i'll try to do what i can from the laptop but it'll be a while until i'm able to post a real comic.

i know, this sucks. trust me, i'm not a happy camper but i don't know what else to do. i apologize for the ginormous inconvenience this causes for the people that read this but i'll do the best i can.

anyway, merry whatever!

#14 - Potter Puppet Pals parody

Yes, it's a parody of a parody. References are from (in order of appearance) "Mysterious Ticking Noise", "Bothering Snape", "Yule Ball '07 part B" and "Wizard Angst".

mandachan's note: sorry for the constant capitalization change. we kinda got into a tiff about it and i gave up 'cause arguing is a moot point. and moot is a funny word :)
ps: DON'T YOU DARE CAPITALIZE THIS NOTE, EGE, OR I WILL COME AFTER YOU.
